PHCA fosters an expanding roster of international artists, with a particular focus on those whose primary practice centres on works on paper. Our represented artists are showcased through carefully curated solo exhibitions, complemented by in-depth presentations of our collaborating artists. The program is further enriched by our Breeder platform, which highlights emerging voices and recent graduates.
PHCA stages six to eight gallery exhibition per year with an emphasis on works on paper. The annual exhibition program is a combination of solo exhibitions to present the gallery’s main artists as well as curated group exhibitions introducing new positions to explore current themes and trends in contemporary art.
PHCA participates in six to eight international art fairs every year with a special focus on fairs exclusively presenting works on paper. From the prestigious TEFAF fair in Maastricht to the academically acclaimed and atmospheric Drawing Now Fair in Paris we aim to give our artists the platform they need in an ever-expanding global market.
PHCA, since its inception, has been particularly dedicated to the medium of drawing and its various practices, spanning from the process-based approaches of David Connearn and Thomas Müller to the alienating photocopy drawings of Alex Hamilton and the large-scale watercolours of Barbara Nicholls. Currently, the gallery represents and works with over 30 international artists whose practice, besides drawings, includes painting, sculpture, video and installation.
