Marisa Telleria has been awarded a 2025 Ellies Creator Award for her project THE BLUE OF DISTANCE, 2025-2026. New body of work that will include four to six large-scale wall pieces and two community-based installations exploring themes of migration, memory, and connection within Miami’s diasporic communities.
The Ellies are offered in four categories to support Miami-Dade working and emerging artists, art educators, and established, professionally accomplished artists. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Oolite Arts will award an additional $100,000 through the 2025 Ellies. With this year’s awards, Oolite has reached a $3.6 million milestone in Ellies support to artists and teachers since 2018.
